Meet the Artist: Eowynn Penny-Huguot
EOWYNN PENNY-HUGUET / THE POLITICS OF MEANING
Currently a dance major at Simon Fraser University, Eowynn has had the honour of performing in SFU’s repertoire shows, with choreographers such as Rob Kitsos, Lesley Telford, Judith Garay, Gioconda Barbuto, Heather Myers, Sarah Chase, Vanessa Goodman, Katie DeVries, Crystal Pite and Kidd Pivot. While at SFU Eowynn has also received dance intensive scholarships with 605 Collective(2015) Modus Operandi (2016), Arts Umbrella (2015, 2016).
Eowynn is a contemporary dance artist currently doing her BFA at Simon Fraser University. Scholarships she has been award include: 605 Collectives Winter Intensive (2015), Modus Operandi Spring Intensive (2016), Arts Umbrella’s International Summer Dance Intensive (2016) and the Amir Alaghband Award in Contemporary Art.
Eowynn has performed in SFU’s repertoire shows from 2013-2015 and had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Rob Kitsos, Lesley Telford, Judith Garay, Heather Myers, Sarah Chase, Gioconda Barbuda, Vanessa Goodman, Emmalena Fredrickson, Katie DeVries, Crystal Pite and Kid Pivot.
During the duration of her dance education Eowynn has collaborated with Body Narratives Collective in 2016 for their Premiere, Ties That Bind. While also working with Mascall Dance as an SFU Intern throughout the Spring of 2016, taking part in the annual BLOOM series as an administrative intern and dance performer.
Eowynn is extremely thankful from the personal mentorship of Jennifer Mascall and excited to be performing with MascallDance in the Outliner this summer!
