Meet co-collaborators Shauna Elton, Devika and Lilia.
The studio’s high ceilings huge windows and wide floor can only barely contain the energy of their creation process. An excerpt from their emerging creation will be shown in informal BLOOM showings on October 2nd and 9th, 5PM.
Shauna Elton says:
“I have been engaged in the dance world for over 25 years as an interpreter, choreographer, teacher and rehearsal director. In 2007 I had Devika. She came into my world and showed me that my capacity for love was bigger than I ever could have imagined. Then in 2009 Lilia came bursting into my life to show me that I could fit even more.I have not worked physically with my children in the studio before but they have influenced and shaped my work over the years (without them knowing). I’m excited to see them play in the studio. Devika and Lilia have big ideas and are a demanding team. The vision of this piece has become theirs, the choreography is theirs and before long, the world will be theirs.”
