Jennifer:  ” Something amazing about the work with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen is that what I learnt during my studies with her is not what others learned earlier.  She is a born pusher of the world, she is just going on in her stuff.  When you meet another BMC practitioner you ask when they trained with her.  “Ahhh, you were during the cellular research period.”  Bonnie is a researcher.”

Jennifer:   I find that in training, there are two strands.  There`s the “get-the-info” and THEN there’s the learning.  Training, and learning.  I meet dancers that just want to learn more and more.  The other kind are “they’ve got it” and then they polish it. Sometimes I feel I don’t know anything.  Then I look, and say what did I learn?  I don’t know until I express it.

Susan  Like teaching or writing, where you often find yourself teaching things you weren’t aware you knew, or knew so much about.   Tell me what you mean by research.

Jennifer   You just head into something you don’t know enough about and come out the other end –  but you know a little bit more,  whether about that particular thing or something else.    In the time off from school during my dance training, I`d continue training, just by myself.  I would just keep working til I learned something new.  Sometimes I would spend an hour sometimes many.  Just kept going til you find something new.

The thing that is amazing in terms of creating with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen is that what I learnt during my studies with her is not what others learned earlier.  She is a born pusher of the world, she is just going on in her stuff.  When you meet anotherBMC practitioner you ask when they trained with her.  “Ahhh, you were during the cellular research period.”  Bonnie is a researcher.
